Prayer & Praise Intensive Reflection

The Presence Of God.

The Lord instructed Pastor Sharon to orchestrate a weekend of prayer and praise in light of the church’s new album release of songs. It was a chance for the congregation to hear all of the sounds from the Lord that had not been played yet. On Friday evening there was an outpouring of Holy Spirit in the congregation. Friday night was the release of the new songs that we hadn’t played in church yet and our first session, praise. There is much to speak about on the rest of the weekend but Friday evening was life-changing.

Let’s take this back to February. I was in conversation with some people about spiritual growth and relationships and in this I was told something that would spark a change in me and the way I viewed my relationship with God forever. I was told: “You need to ask the Lord for the revelation knowledge of His love for you, that’s what keeps you from the ugly stuff in your life”. I walked away from that conversation determined to find this out because God is faithful and His word says that if we seek we shall find. I went along seeking God for the revelation knowledge of His love for months and then this weekend came. God’s timing is so perfect, throughout the two or three weeks prior to this weekend I had some big things happen in my life, I experienced some huge ups and huge downs but God was faithful through it all. This weekend came on the back of some of those big ups in my life and what I experienced with God was a moment I’ll hold onto forever. Whilst Intertwined and I’m Drawing Close were playing I received the in-filling of Holy Spirit. Through yielding I was given the image of God kneeling before me, with so much joy and love. That image was answered prayer. I saw the love of the Father and His joy in me. No performance or act could make Him love me more because it is Jesus in me that makes me worthy of His love. This in-filling of Holy Spirit didn’t just stop there, it was throughout the messages and in my conversations during the weekend. One conversation I had with someone, Holy Spirit fell on us and we began to pray things out for our lives and the lives of others, such a precious moment not only individually but in our relationship. This was a weekend full of marker moments, and I am so grateful to God for His love and the revelation knowledge of it. I know there is more and I will continue to press for the more.
